Hernandez presents at CSM 2018

Zeena Rose Hernandez presented her study, the "Implementation of a safe and feasible mobilization protocol for patients POD 0 Transcatheter Valve Procedures at CSM 2018 in New Orleans, LA.

 

Hernandez is a physical therapist at the prestigious NYU Langone Health Rusk Rehabilitation Center in New York and is currently pursuing her DPT at Utica College in New York.

World Class Physical Therapists

The Academy of Filipino American Physical Therapists was established in 2016 to create a community of members bound by a common desire to improve Filipino American representation in the field and practice of physical therapy. 

Membership

Today, the academy is home to over 5,000 members comprised of clinical specialists, academicians, clinicians, practitioners, inventors, pioneers, scientists, legislators, and entrepeneurs within the various fields of practice in physical therapy.

 

The academy offers various levels of membership from student membership, associate membership, professional membership, diplomate membership and a fellowship.  The fellowship is the highest degree of membership offered in recognition of a member's substantial contributions to the academy and the practice of physical therapy.

 

Review Board/Editors Needed

We need editors to review paper and video submissions to the academy.  We are looking for editors with interests in:

 

- Orthopedic Physical Therapy practice

- Documentation, Legal Aspects of practice
